Bone Grafting
Periodontal disease can wreak havoc on the jawbone, making it impossible to support a dental implant without specialized treatment. If you are suffering from this condition, Dr. Allred may recommend bone grafting (also known as natural bone regeneration) to promote bone growth in the jaw. With this specialized treatment, your jawbone will begin to regenerate and strengthen itself enough to support a dental implant.
Sinus Lift
Sinus lift surgery, also known as maxillary sinus elevation, is performed for patients who do not have enough bone height to support a dental implant or if the sinuses are too big or too close for an implant. This surgery allows for greater implant stability using a bone graft.
